YO HOMIES!
We’re so funkin’ close now! By tomorrow, ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove will be playable on all your earthling gaming machines!!!
It’s been a long road, but from all of us on the ToeJam & Earl team, we want to sincerely thank you for helping us get to where we are now and sticking with us through it all. Like many development cycles, this one has been a wild ride, but having a supportive and active backer community like this one has helped us in more ways than we can say.
As we move into launch day and the first week -- post launch -- we hope you all enjoy what we’ve created. It’s very much a love letter from us to you, the uber fans! We’ve put all of ourselves into making Back in the Groove everything you hoped this sequel would be. And we hope you’ll agree.
Backer Game Codes
Over the next few hours, we’ll be starting the automated process of emailing out your full game codes via backerkit. This email will come with the necessary instructions for how to redeem your game code(s) on all applicable platforms. Keep in mind that depending on the platform, the game might not be live yet, so please be patient. Back in the Groove will be live and playable on all platforms by tomorrow morning.
If you don’t receive an email from us, check your spam and promotions folders. If that doesn’t work, search for emails from Humanature Studios and Backerkit. If that doesn’t work, go ahead and email us at [email protected] and we’ll do our best to assist you. Keep in mind that despite our best efforts, issues with our automated system can arise so please be patient with us while we address support tickets.
KS Box Set Backers
As we stated in a few updates before this one, the KS Box Set will be shipping in April. In the meantime, you all will be receiving Steam codes via email at the same time as everyone else!
Nintendo AMA
To celebrate the release of Back in the Groove, tomorrow our Captain, Greg Johnson, will be doing an AMA on to Nintendo Switch sub-reddit. So make sure to join him and ask him all the burning ToeJam and Earl questions you’ve never found the answers for!

Guess what Earthlings? We’re coming to your consoles and computers this week on March 1st!
WHEN AM I GETTING MY CODE
Codes to backers will be out by Noon PST on Friday! They’ll be sent out via email shortly before they go live in the stores and they’ll have instructions on how to redeem them. Make sure you pay attention to the email address that you used for your BackerKit/Kickstarter and if you need any help or are having any issues please reach out to [email protected].
KS Exclusive Special Edition
During the month of March we’ll be debuting the IndieBox contents, and final box art for those of you who got the Kickstarter box set! Since the box won’t be ready for shipping on 3/1, we’re making sure that anyone getting one will also be getting an extra Steam key on March 1st, so you can hop right in. Excited to show you all the goodies soon!

Peabo Special & Lamont Surprise
For those of you who got the “Peabo/Lamont surprise” from the Kickstarter, please be aware that this will be a PC-only DLC, and will go out in the next few weeks after launch. Those will be going out by email the same way that the codes will be! We will have more info about this soon, we really wanted to get it in by launch but there were a few small things we need to tweak and test…stay tuned!
